Abstract

The buffer for roadside kerbs is made up of two triangular sections which carry at least three notches (4,5) on their upper faces (3) for the introduction of handling tools (9,10). One notch (4) is situated near the centre of gravity of each section whilst the other two notches (5) are situated in a straight line (II,II) parallel to the contact face of each section. The line (II,II) divides each section into two parts of equal weight. The sections are manhandled into a position in which the two contact faces abut to form a rectangular buffer.
