Abstract

The appts. includes a shaft standing on a foot to support a spherical energy collector. The sphere is arranged to rotate on two sets of bearings about the vertical shaft. Water is introduced into the sphere via an injector in the middle of the sphere and collected for extraction by a lower pipe immediately above a seal which prevents water getting into the bearings.S Photocells are arranged over the surface of the sphere, and a ring allows collection of the current they produce for connection to an putput socket. An outer shell of glass surrounds the sphere in order to transmit the maximum possible heat to the photocells and water. The entire structure of the device is supported on a central axis.
