Abstract

The element is an agglomerate formed by the setting of a mixt. in a mould. The mixt. contains water, cement, sand, and aggregates consisting of rock wool or glass wool. The pref. mixt. contains equal amts. of cement and sand, each of which being equal to one-quarter of the amt. of rock- or glass- wool. The mixt. pref. also contains 1-3 wt.%, w.r.t. the wt. of cement, of a setting accelerator. The elements have excellent mechanical strength combined with thermal insulation. An example is a mixt. contg. 320 kg rock wool; 80 kg sand, size 0/3; 80 kg cement; 1 kg accelerator; and 5-10 litres of water. This mixt. is cast in a mould.

L'invention a pour objet un élément qui, utilisable dans la ccp-trur i on de murs ou de planchers, possède une forme générale et un agencement qui sont fonction de sa destination et qui ainsi peut se présenter sous la forme d'un aggloméré parallélépipédique, d'un hourdis, d'une poutrelle... ou sous toute autre forme. Cet élément de construction se caractérise par sa composition, dans laquelle interviennent de la laine de roche ou de verre, du sable, du ciment, de l'eau et avantageusement un accélérateur. Grace au sable et au ciment entrant dans sa composition, un tel élément de construction présente les mêmes propriétés mécaniques qu'un élément identique traditionnel; mais grâce à la laine de roche ou de verre qu'il contient, cet élément présente en outre d'excellentes propriétés isolantes qui lui ouvrent de très larges applications. - adjuvant accélérateur de prise du ciment 1 kg 6
- eau ......................... entre 5 et 10 litres
La laine de roche et le sable constituent les agrégats dont la teneur en humidité détermine la quantité d'eau à utiliser.Thus. according to a composition given by way of example, the following proportions are adopted:

Rock wool and sand are the aggregates whose moisture content determines the amount of water to be used.

Claims

1.- Construction element, of the agglomerated type, slabs, beams or the like, characterized in that it results from the setting, in an aqueous medium and in a mold, of a mixture of cement and aggregates constituted by rock wool or glass wool and sand.

2. A building element according to claim 1, characterized in that its composition is such that the quantities of sand and cement are equal, and each of them is equal to a quarter of that of rock wool or glass.

3. Building element according to claim 2, characterized in that its composition comprises an admixture accelerator for setting the cement in a proportion of 1 to 3% relative to the weight of cement.
