Abstract

The portable jack-actuated shears are used on accident damaged vehicle bodies, using the thrust of a jack to drive inter-articulating blades through pin-jointed struts and a piston yoke. The jack may be connected to a pump by a flexible pipe, attached the the body of the shears by a screw thread on its head. 'U' section pieces may house onto the heels of the blades, drilled to locate the pins securing the output ends of the struts. The blades may be drilled to receive the fulcrum axle mounted on the body, together with the yoke axle.

La cisaille est constituée (Fig 1) par un vérin hydraulique 1 relié à la pompe à main transportable 2 (Fig 2).
