Abstract

The distributor is fitted to the end of a tube leading from a receptacle holding granular or particulate foodstuff or pharmaceuticals. It comprises a pair of angular offset rotatable discs mounted on a common axis each with a single opening cut in it for the passage of the material. A sieve element is sandwiched between the discs with the top end of the sieve facing the receptacle. The openings in the discs are diametrically opposed so that when the top end of the sieve communicates with the receptacle, the other end is closed and when the discharge end is open, the top end is closed off from the receptacle.
