Abstract

A blow moulded container with an integral hollow handle adjacent to and interconnecting with the spout is also joined to the top of the container alongside the spout by material pinched from the parison alongside the opening beneath the handle. For containers vented via the handle to permit smooth discharge from filled containers, to reinforce the roots of the spout and handle, sufficiently to permit stacking of full containers. Opt. the link web between the top of the container and the spout/ handle junction is partially hollow to provide a small passage between the handle and the container void to act as a drain or siphon break for any liquid which may enter the handle, e.g. during filling.
