Abstract

The emptying device consists of a triangular metal sheet which is folded over at the top edge to fit over a sink. The apex of the triangle is at the bottom and is folded over to form a point upwards in the sink. The flexible bag is lowered onto the metal point and punctured to be allowed to drain into the sink. The device may also be a W-shaped sheet metal support to latch over two opposite sides of the sink.

Description

 The present invention relates to devices for ensuring the flow of a liquid contained in a flexible container.

Known devices of this kind generally comprise a drainage tube secured to the container, comprising a plug or a tap.

These devices, relatively expensive compared to the value of the container itself, are justified if it is to be reused.

Disposable containers, on the other hand, are usually emptied by drilling with a sharp object or by cutting with a pair of scissors.

 This process, acceptable for occasional use has the disadvantage of requiring the use of both hands, the one performing the piercing being exposed to splashes, more or less dangerous or unpleasant depending on the nature of the liquid.

 The device according to the invention makes it possible to avoid this drawback.

 The device, object of the invention, is intended further placed on the edge and inside the receptacle which must receive the liquid. The plastic bag which contains it is then brought into contact with the tip of the device, to cause a tear allowing rapid flow.

The object device of the invention comprises a body of triangular shape, the top and the base of which are folded in opposite directions to respectively form a point and the hook adapting to the receptacle.
According to one embodiment of the invention, the device is composed of a metal plate.

According to another embodiment of the invention, the device is made up of a metal wire, in this case the two hook-shaped ends are located on the same plane as the support, their rotation in opposite direction of the tip giving a spring effect which presses the device against the wall of the receptacle.

 The accompanying drawing illustrates, by way of example, an embodiment of the device according to the present invention.

As shown, the device produced in the form of a metal plate is presented from the front (fig. 1) and in profile (fig. 2).

J In the embodiment in the form of a metal wire, the device is presented at rest, from the front (fig. 3) and in profile (figo-4) in place (fig. 5).

 The device, object of the invention, can be used in all cases where liquids, contained in single-use plastic bags, must also be emptied quickly, avoiding splashes.

 A particularly interesting application is the emptying of the urine collection bags for bedridden patients, in particular in a hospital environment where the very large number of emptying operations, necessary each day, make this operation particularly tedious by the usual means.

Claims (3)

1 - Device for easy and rapid emptying of a liquid contained in a flexible container, characterized in that it consists of a support comprising a curved hook portion making it possible to fix it to the inner edge of the receptacle which is to receive the liquid and a tip * directed upwards and inside of said receptacle, intended to burst the flexible container.  2 - Device according to claim 1 characterized in that it is constituted by a triangular metal plate whose base is curved in a hook to provide support and the curved top in opposite direction to form the tip. 3 - Device according to claim 1 characterized in that it is constituted by a metal wire forming a W whose tip is inclined and the ends bent in a hook. the rotation of these in opposite direction of the tip allows adaptation to the edge of the receptacle, the branches forming a spring, press the device against the wall.
