Abstract

A protective vest for use by police and similar forces is placed under the normal clothes, as in the Parent patent. Between the inner and outer envelopes there is a stuffing of felt threaded with polymer fibre. The thickness of the stuffing is between 6-8mm, wt. of is 400-500 g/m2 and tension strength is 22.65 kg/f lengthwise and 21.10 kg/f in width direction. Flame resistance, to standard 07113 AFNOR, is 12.0 lengthwise and 16.5 in width direction. The change gives greater protection against missiles and fire compared with the original stuffing.

Claims

1.
