Abstract

The lock is for rapidly jamming one or more dumb bell discs on a short or long bar.  In known devices of this kind, the locking of the barbell discs is done using a cylindrical ring provided with a needle screw actuated by a key. Such devices are difficult to use and lack speed and security; indeed, the manipulation requires a key always at hand, and the repetition of the tightening of the screw sabines the bar; moreover, by an excessive play between the ring and the bar, the screw can be tightened obliquely, which can involve a sliding of the load during the rise.
