Abstract

The assembly is for a ceiling mounted lighting fitting (6). It consists of a suspended lamp (6), a suspended connector (2), the electrical connection and a box (4) on the lamp cord (1) for the ceiling hook (3a). The suspension element is hooked on the ceiling hook. The electrical connection is made and the feed cord is suspended. Then the box is raised to the ceiling to cover the suspension and connection parts. It is then pressed on the ceiling and grips the suspension element, using a rotary movement.

Description

 The present invention relates to the production of assemblies intended for lighting, in particular ceiling assemblies, comprising a hanging lamp, its means of suspension from the ceiling and of electrical connection, and a pavilion threaded on the cord of the lamp and intended to cover the hook fixed to the ceiling.

 It is common, for the production of such assemblies, to use sliding pavilions with clamping on the wire and to place them on the ceiling by simple manual pressure in order to mask the connection, notably comprising a domino, and the hooking means.

The assemblies thus produced have serious drawbacks.

Indeed, at the slightest swinging movement of the lamp, the pavilion tends to yawn relative to the ceiling. Very quickly the application of the roof against the ceiling becomes defective, the connection and the suspension become apparent and the assembly loses both its stability over time and its aesthetics.

 The object of the invention is to remedy these drawbacks and to produce assemblies ensuring in particular perfect and lasting contact of the roof against the ceiling as a function of the position of the hook relative to said ceiling.

It essentially relates to a process characterized in that
- a hanging element is hung on the ceiling hook
if we,
- we provide the electrical connection and the suspension
the power cord,
- we raise the pavilion to the ceiling, so that
come over the suspension and connection elements
- and we press the roof on the ceiling, taking support
on the suspension element.

 According to an important characteristic of the invention, the pavilion is caused, when it takes support on the suspension element, to effect a displacement, the importance of which is adjusted according to the position of the hook relative to the ceiling, until it is applied against the ceiling. The displacement can in particular, in accordance with the invention, be carried out by screwing.

 This screwing can advantageously be carried out by engaging threaded surfaces carried by annular elements integral with the suspension element and the roof, these threaded surfaces having sufficient lengths to allow adjustment of the displacement of the wing depending on the position. from the hook relative to the ceiling, until a perfect contact of the roof against the ceiling is obtained.

The invention relates, as new industrial products, assemblies, intended for lighting, produced according to these methods.

 The invention also relates to methods designed to ensure the positioning and holding in place of a flag intended to cover the fixing hook and the connection elements of a hanging lamp by allowing, after suspension and connection of the suspension cord and power supply, a perfect and durable application of this flag against the ceiling surface after rising along this cord, this cord being in particular smooth and preferably of circular section.

According to an important characteristic of these methods according to the invention

The invention provides in particular to fix to the hook of the ceiling a suspension element serving as a cable clamp, carrying a sheath whose inner part serves as a wire guide and the outer part carries a quick pitch thread, and to engage this thread with a threaded housing carried by the roof.

 The invention also provides for attaching to the hook of the ceiling a suspension element serving as a cable clamp, carrying an annular extension the inner part of which serves as a wire guide and carries a threaded housing with rapid pitch and to engage this threaded housing with the external threaded part of an annular sheath carried by the roof.

The invention also relates to devices for implementing these methods.

According to a characteristic of the invention, these devices include
- a suspension element, serving as cable clamp and an

 According to the invention, the suspension element can carry, in addition to the members intended for the suspension, the passage and the guiding of the cord, two coaxial cylindrical parts, one serving as a wire guide, the other carrying the thread. . The invention also provides to give the lower part and of this element a flared shape, in particular a conical shape.

 For its part, the pavilion may, in accordance with the invention, include an outer wall, in particular a conical wall, integral with a coaxial cylinder carrying a threaded part engaging the thread carried by the suspension element and a base , integral with this cylinder, carrying in its center a wire guide element.

The Applicant has found that the invention can be implemented in an advantageous and particularly economical manner by producing the suspension elements and the pavilions in molded plastic.

The invention therefore also relates to methods for the manufacture of these molded parts as well as molds for the implementation of these methods.

In accordance with the invention, the method for manufacturing suspension elements is characterized in that the indentations corresponding to the ring and the cable clamp are formed at one end of the mold and at the other end the imprint corresponding to the annular extension carrying the fixing means, in particular a threaded surface with rapid pitch, the inner part of which serves as a wire guide.

For its part, the method for manufacturing molded pavilions is, in accordance with the invention, characterized in that one leaves at one end of the mold defining the overall shape of the pavilion, an imprint corresponding to an annular body bearing the organs allowing this flag to bear on the fixing means carried by the suspension element, in particular a threaded surface intended to come into engagement with the threaded surface carried by the suspension element. The invention also provides that the imprint corresponding to the annular body is itself integral with an imprint corresponding to the base of the flag in which is formed, in its center, a member serving as a wire guide.

 The appended figures below illustrate, simply by way of nonlimiting example, the methods of the invention and present, also by way of example, different modes of execution for the implementation thereof.

Figures 1, 2, 3 and 4 show, in its different stages, the implementation of the method according to the invention.

Figure 5 shows in perspective and in section the first phase of setting up the pavilion before taking support on the suspension element.

 Figure 6 shows in perspective, with cutaway, the last phase of setting up the pavilion.

Figures 7 and 8 show, in cross section, two preferred embodiments of the invention.

Referring to FIGS. 1, 2 and 3, one can see in detail the implementation of the different phases of the first measurements of the method of the invention concerning the installation of the suspension element as well as the electrical connection and hanging the power cord.

 In these figures, the suspension element 2 carries at its upper part an orifice 2b intended for its attachment and a cable orifice 2c. This suspension element has an annular extension 2a, carrying a threaded surface, the inner part of which serves as a wire guide.

 The cord 1, introduced inside the wire guide (Figure 1), is brought, after forming a loop la, in the cable clamp hole 2c (Figure 2).

We see, in Figure 3, the final placement of the suspension element, after fixing the ceiling hook 3a in the hole 2b, tensioning the cord 1 in the cable clamp 2c and electrical connection to the domino 3b.

 Figure 4 illustrates the whole process. According to this figure, the cord 1, to which the lamp 6 is suspended, crosses the wire guide and the cable clamp of the suspension member 2. This suspension member is then moved along the arrow to bring the orifice attachment 2b in connection with the hook 3a. The pavilion 4 is then raised to the ceiling (as indicated by the arrow) along the cord 1, so as to come over the connecting and connecting elements.

 The flag will then be pressed on the element 3 carried by the ceiling, the threads carried by the suspension element and the flag having been engaged, giving the flag a rotational movement ensuring its screwing.

 We see in Figure 5 the first phase of establishment of the flag 4. It has been raised along the cord 1, passing through the wire guide 4a to the vicinity of the suspension element. The threaded surface 5a of the annular body 5 will be brought into contact with the threaded surface 2a carried by the suspension element 2.

 In Figure 6, the two threaded surfaces having been engaged, and a perfect alignment of the axes of the suspension element and the roof having been ensured by a simple pull on the cord, a rotational movement given to the pavilion has ensured its screw-wise on the suspension element, until perfect contact between the upper part of the roof and the ceiling.

 Figure 7 shows, in cross section, a preferred embodiment of the invention.

 In this figure, the cord 1, passing through the wire guide 4a carried by the pavilion 4, penetrates inside the threaded annular body 5, integral with the pavilion 4 through an axial duct whose lower part is flared . The internal thread 5a of this annular body is in engagement with the thread 2a carried by the external surface of the annular extension of the suspension element 2 carrying in its upper part the hooking orifice 2b and the cable clamp 2c. The attachment hole 2b is engaged with the hook 3a while the cord, passing through the cable clamp 2c is connected to the domino 3b.

 Figure 8 shows, also in cross section, another embodiment of the irivention.

According to this embodiment, the pavilion 4 carries at its lower part a threaded sheath 7 carrying on its outer surface a thread 7a.

 The suspension element 2 carries at its lower part a housing whose internal thread 2d engages with the thread 7a of the sleeve.

The invention having now been exposed and its interest justified in a detailed example, the plaintiff reserves exclusivity for the entire duration of the patent, without limitation other than that of the terms of the claims below.

Claims (20)
