Abstract

The mobile chassis uprights (1) are mounted on rollers (3) which run on a track (5) and the uprights are joined by cross bracing (10) which is load bearing and carries the lifting gear. The uprights form two portal frames, so that the cross bracing is rectangular in plan. The lifting levers (14,15) are V-shaped and one end of each is fixed to the operating handle which has a locking bolt. The other end of the levers are attached to four lifting chains (18), each of which has a clamping collar at the end (20,21), for securely gripping the slab during lifting and transport.
