Abstract

The end piece of the rod is made from a plastics material and comprises a short straight length (1) with slits (3) for fitting over the fishing rod. The remainder (2) is curved and tapers slightly towards the free end. The external curved surface is slotted (4) to permit easy threading of the fishing line. Bridges (5) are provided at intervals along the end piece. In the bottom of the slot are fitted rollers (6), these being free-running to prevent the line chafing. The final roller, at the free end, is inset (11) into the surface. The end piece may also be made in two identical side halves.

Description

The present invention relates to a terminal strand for a fishing rod, in particular for coarse fishing. More particularly, it relates to a curved end strand for angling known as "roubaisienne", this end strand can constitute the whole of the scion proper, or else a curved end piece attached to the end of a scion.

We already know (see for example in the fishery magazine "All the fishing" of July 1962, the article by Michel Duborgel entitled "Fixation of the lines at the end of the tip") a terminal strand for fishing rod from Roubaix. This terminal strand may be hollow for the interior passage of the line.

In such a known hollow terminal strand, the positioning of the line inside is not very easy and requires a long flexible needle or similar tool. Furthermore, the line rubbing against the inner wall of said terminal strand, this results in wear detrimental to the resistance and the service life of the line.

The object of the present invention is to remedy these drawbacks.

To this end, according to the invention, the tubular terminal strand for a fishing rod, comprising a curved end part, is remarkable in that it is open longitudinally at least in the convex part of its curvature and in that it has internal idler rollers distributed longitudinally along the internal face of its concave part, in relief with respect to this internal face.

Thus, the curved part of said terminal strand being open in its convexity, it is easy to pass the line inside said strand, since then only the straight part of the latter must be crossed. In addition, the line sliding on the rotating rollers, its wear by friction is avoided.

Advantageously, in order to prevent the line from escaping through the longitudinal opening, there are provided bridges closing this opening from place to place. Such a bridge is at least provided at the free end of the curved part.

Furthermore, it is advantageous that it is a rotary roller which forms the free end of the inner face of the concave part, so that the line leaving the end strand rolls on this roller.

In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the terminal strand consists of two symmetrical shells, assembled along a longitudinal plane orthogonal to the axes of the rollers. In this case, the shells have facing recesses which, when the shells are assembled form bearings for rollers forming rollers.

Such shells can be made of glass-filled polyamide and be joined to one another by welding, for example by ultrasound, microwave, etc.

The part of the terminal strand, facing the preceding fishing rod strand, may be provided in order to be able to fit elastically on the end of the latter.

The figures of the appended drawing will make it clear how the invention can be implemented.

The tubular end strand for a Roubaisian fishing rod, shown by these figures, comprises a rectilinear part 1 and a curved end part 2.

The rectilinear part 1, which can be conical and / or cylindrical, is intended to allow the fixing of said end strand on the strand preceding the fishing rod, by interlocking. To this end, it may include two diametrically opposite slots 3 allowing elastic fitting.

Depending on the length of this part 1, the end strand according to the invention can either constitute a complete tip, or a tip to be attached to a tip.

The curved end part 2 is open, along its convex line of larger diameter, by a wide slot 4, closed from place to place by bridges 5.

In the bottom of the slot 4 is arranged a plurality of idle rollers 6, of transverse axes, on which rests the fishing line 7, introduced into said end strand.

Thus, the line 7 rests on the successive rollers 6 and does not rub against the bottom of the slot 4.

At the free end of the curved part 4 are provided a bridge 5 'and a roller 6'. Line 7 leaves part 2 by passing over roller 6 ', arranged in a notch 11 at the bottom of slot 4.

In an advantageous embodiment, the terminal strand 1,2 is made up of two synthetic shells C and C ', assembled to one another along the plane passing through the center of curvature of the curved part 2.

These shells C and C 'are made of a material which can be welded by ultrasound or microwave and are joined in this way by weld lines 8 and 9.

The shells C and C ′ have recesses 10 facing each other, capable of serving as end bearings for the cylinders forming the rollers 6, 6 ′ and put in place when the said shells are assembled.

The shells C, C 'can be made of glass-filled polyamide, while the roller-rollers 6,6' are advantageously made of stainless steel.

Of course, although the invention has been described more particularly in connection with so-called "roubaisienne" coarse fishing, it goes without saying that it is not limited to this type of fishing, but on the contrary concerns all peaches in which an indoor rod is used.

1.- Tubular end strand for fishing rod, comprising a curved end part, characterized in that it is open longitudinally at least in the convex part of its curvature and in that it comprises idle rollers distributed horizontally on along the inner face of the concave part of said curvature, in relief with respect to this inner face. 2.- terminal strand according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises bridges closing, from place to place, the opening of said convex part. 3.- terminal strand according to one of claims 1 or 2, characterized in that the free end of the inner face of the concave part is formed by a rotary roller. 4. Terminal strand according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that it consists of two symmetrical shells assembled along a longitudinal plane orthogonal to the axes of the rollers.  5. Terminal strand according to claim 4, characterized in that the shells have facing recesses which, when the shells are assembled, form bearings for rollers forming rollers. 6.- terminal strand according to one of claims 4 or 5, characterized in that the shells are assembled by welding. 7. Terminal strand according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the shells are made of glass-filled polyamide. 8.- terminal strand according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the rollers are made of stainless steel. 9.- end strand according to any one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that its part, facing the strand preceding the fishing rod, is provided to be able to snap resiliently on the end thereof .
