Abstract

The rear vehicle door can be opened in the usual way when carrying adults, but when children are being carried the door can be opened only from the outside or by a driver operated cable. The extra security comes into operation when a plate 'children being carried' (8) is placed between four brackets. One of the brackets is spring loaded and insertion of the plate pushes down a bolt plate, so that the door cannot be opened across a hook (20) unless the hook is first lowered by foot pressure on a beam (19) or by a spring operated cable (21).

Claims

1.
