Abstract

Used to form the soffit of a circular arched in situ concrete lintel, the telescopic shutter adjusts to different radii and effective lengths, the latter being controlled by a trapezoidal screw (14) actuated telescopic strut (5). In addn. the rise may be controlled by ancillary trapezoidal screws (C) which pass through swivel nuts (9) mounted on the strut, and which attach to the form. In detail the latter may comprise three 2.5 mm th steel plates (1,2,3), and the strut may be made up of square hollow sections (5a,5b) connected to the forms by hinges (10). The sec. screws (6) may terminate in recessed journal bearing formations located by slot holes in pins spanning form-integral forks (8).
