Abstract

Used to construct single or two storey dwellings, the system utilises prefabricated vertically elongated rectangular wall slabs of a lightweight material with a relatively low compressive strength e.g. foamed aerated concrete. Slab bases may be secured by angle irons of which the bar is nailed in the central groove of a ground level ring beam, and of which the leg is fixed in slab edge grooves. Connection to a framed roof structure is effected by 'L' shaped rods of which the bar houses in a mid height slab edge socket, the leg extending to eaves level to tterminate in a threaded head. The top slab edges are grooved to locate a reinforced in situ concrete eaves level ring beam, the rod head receiving a nut to secure the wall plate. Window and door openings are preformed, receiving framed slidably adjustable liners.
