Abstract

Combination of an inflatable tube and an inelastic fabric is used to seal the joint between the jacket and the trousers of clothing used for protection against hazardous materials such as toxic gases, radioactive dusts. The inflatable belt may be fitted to the lining of the jacket, and the top of the trousers may be stiffened by a rigid concave profile to receive the inflatable tube and to also allow ventilation within the suit between the upper and lower parts.
