L'INVENTION S'APPLIQUE NOTAMMENT A LA FABRICATION DE PARE-CHOCS DE VEHICULES AUTOMOBILES.THE INVENTION RELATES TO A PROCESS FOR PREPARING A MOLDED POLYURETHANE ELEMENT AND THE ELEMENT THUS OBTAINED. THIS PROCESS FOR OBTAINING A POLYURETHANE ELEMENT PRESENTING A FIRMLY ADHESIVE COATING IS A PROCESS IN WHICH A LIQUID MIXTURE OF REACTION PRODUCTS TO FORM POLYURETHANE IS INJECTED IN A MOLD WHERE IT IS SUBJECT TO A REACTION AND MOLD AT A HIGH TEMPERATURE. THE MOLD SURFACE IS COATED, BEFORE MOLDING, WITH A COATING COMPOSITION CONTAINING 0.05 TO 10 BY WEIGHT OF A CATALYST FOR POLYURETHANE. THE CATALYST ACTS TO BIND THE COATING COMPOSITION TO THE MOLD ELEMENT SO THAT THE latter, AFTER REMOVING THE MOLD, CONTAINS A FIRMLY ADHESIVE COATING. THE INVENTION APPLIES IN PARTICULAR TO THE MANUFACTURE OF MOTOR VEHICLE BUMPERS.
