Abstract

The plastic box has a bottom part (1) with a bottom and walls (1b) and a lid (3) with edges (3b) bent downwards. The lid (3) is connected to the bottom part (1) by hinges (5). On the outsides of a bottom-part wall (1b) and of a lid edge (3b) there are for each hinge (5) pocket-shaped compartments (1d, 3d) which are open towards one another. Furthermore, there is for each hinge (5) a flexible hinge part (9) which has two pairs of resilient tongues (9b) which are provided at their free ends with catch hooks (9c). Each hinge part (9) is engaged in each case with one pair of tongues (9b) in one of the compartments (1d, 3d). The hinge parts (9) which are easy to produce and assemble consist of polypropylene with a high degree of bending endurance while the bottom part (1) and the lid (3) can consist of any desired, less flexible plastics.
