Abstract
The process can be used on any type of surface and any shape normally used to receive a printed impression. Three or four colour printing can be applied direct, in one operation with no intermediate stages. It comprises the use of a reverse image plate or block, applied to the surface in the normal manner. Sublimable inks are used, these transferring the complete colour image instantaneously when subjected to heat. A temperature of two to three hundred degrees Celsius is used and the operation requires a few seconds only.
