Abstract

Containers are deep-drawn from thermoplastic film using means of moving the film plus heating and moulding stations; the latter has a fixed male tool and a female which moves vertically when film is heated; the containers are pressure moulded and printed strips are welded on to them by a shaft moving axially to the mould and with a cylindrical mid-section on which the strip is wound; in one position this shaft enters the mould, in another it forms the base of the mould, the printed strip is guided into position through a tangential slot. Strip holder is not part of the mould and is minimal in size, minimal masses are therefore moved.
