Abstract

A mains electricity supply is fed via a transformer to a bridge rectifier providing the current used in deburring. The rectifier is actuated by a controller, which is fed with a desired voltage via a potentiometer; in the controller, the actual voltage is compared with the desired voltage and a second controller uses thyristors to close the electric circuit for each workpiece. The pref. appts. includes selective electronic protection devices employed to block the thyristors if a short circuit exists, e.g. due to very large burr on a workpiece.
