Abstract

Connecteur pour relier ensemble deux câbles formés d'une ou plusieurs fibres optiques, auxquelles il faut assurer un alignement axial précis et dont les extrémités doivent être séparées par un intervalle constant et aussi petit que possible. Le connecteur comporte un corps 10 ayant un alésage de section droite constante, un manchon 11 en élastomère logé dans l'alésage, un organe segmenté et déformable de serrage 12 logé dans le manchon 11 et dans lequel peuvent être insérées les extrémités des câbles 13, et des moyens pour appliquer au manchon 11 des pressions axiales provoquant la dilatation radiale de l'organe de serrage 12 qui pince chacun des câbles 13 en un certain nombre de points régulièrement répartis sur leur pourtour.
