Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à un système de réglage du rapport air-carburant pour un moteur à combustion interne. Selon l'invention, il comprend un capteur 18 dans le passage d'échappement 16 pour détecter l'arrivée d'un mélange air-carburant fourni au moteur à son niveau stocchiométrique; un moyen 14, 22 d'alimentation en carburant; un moyen de commande 24 associé au capteur 18 pour appliquer des premier et second signaux de commande au moyen d'alimentation 14, 22 afin de contrôler la quantité de carburant fourni, le premier signal se produisant pendant un temps prédéterminé après arrivée du rapport air-carburant à l'entrée au niveau stoechiométrique pour le faire s'éloigner de ce niveau stoechiométrique, le second signal de commande se produisant après pendant le temps prédéterminé pour forcer le rapport air-carburant à l'entrée à varier vers le niveau stoechiométrique, pour contrôler ainsi le rapport air-carburant moyen à l'entrée d'un côté de la stoechiométrie. L'invention s'applique notamment à l'industrie automobile.
