Abstract

The working platform (1) has a support (2) resting on the sea bed on wheels (5), some of which are motor driven and some of which are steered. The height of the platform, with respect to the support, is altered by a motor driving the turret (13) which has a toothed crown about notches (17) in the support legs. One leg of the support incorporates an underwater steering or observation module (23) kept at atmospheric pressure. The work platform can have shear legs and drilling rigs and shafts to lay underwater pipes and cables (28).
