Abstract

Procédé de préparation du diméthylacétal de l'acétal-déhyde par réaction, catalysée au cobalt, du méthanol avec l'oxyde de carbone et l'hydrogène à chaud et sous pression en présence d'un halogène et/ou d'un halogénure servant d'activateur. Avec le cobalt, on utilise le nickel à l'état de composé ou de métal finement divisé en tant que co-catalyaeur, en quantités respectives représentant jusqu'à 1 % de cobalt et de 0,1 à 5 % de nickel par rapport au poids du méthanol mis en oeuvre, on utilise comme ligand un composé du phosphore trivalent utilisé habituellement à cet effet, au rapport nickel/ligand de 5 : 1 à 1: 3, on opère à des températures de 180 à 230 degrés C, des pressions de 200 à 500 bars et des rapports CO/H2 de 2 : 1 à 1 : 2,2.
