Abstract

The shredding machine consists of a cylinder mounted on a shaft (6) and having end plates. The cylinder is made up of a number of sections of different dias. Each section carries a knife (7,8). The knives are mounted at different angular positions on the sections. The shaft rotates past the cutting plates (2,3) fitted with hardened steel tips (11) opposite the knives. The shredder is mounted horizontally at the foot of a chute and driven by an external motor. The chute is fitted with an automatically closing door.
