Abstract

Appliance for the descaling of hot or cold water consists of a metallic cylinder with insulating caps at both ends and a probe rod in the centre. The water to be treated passes through the annulus while a pulse generator supplies weak current pulses between probe and cylinder which act as electrodes. The generator is housed in a separate box with a socket for the plug connector which is safe against accidental contact. The assembly is compact and easy to install. It requires little maintenance and functions reliably.
