Abstract

The device for electric power switching contains at least one switching device (5) having at least one switching element (10a) including and electride discharger (24). The latter is reversible between the state of isolation and the electrically conductive state. In addition the switching element has a facility (25) for causing or at least for the initiation that the electrode gap or at least part of it shall acquire electric conductivity.
