Abstract
The turbine has a horizontally split casing (3) in which are fitted inlet and discharge orifices for the compressor stage and the expansion stage. The centre of the casing is made of sections of different profiles (13, 14) with sealing rings between. Each rotor consists of a hub (5) with an adjacent rotating piston. The rotors are linked with synchronising gears (16) and the central rotor has a diameter equal to twice that of the outer rotors and revolves at half the speed.
