Abstract

The indicator lamp has a light-emitting device (11) (e.g. an incandescent bulb) located in a rectangular (or square) transparent block. The block has a convex cylindrical lens (4) along its front face and a cavity at its centre. The cavity is bounded by two large side walls (2, 3) two small side walls (5, 6) and a base (7) in which the bulb is located. The base has several prismatic lenses (8-10) situated around the bulb and having a specified shape. This shape is such that the light emitted by the bulb and reflected from various parts of the lenses and base is distributed evenly over the cylindrical (or prismatic) lens at the front.
