Abstract

The dome shown is formed from a number of equilateral triangles so that the whole framework is made up of a number of identical pieces. Each piece has a circular section and is chamfered at each end so that pieces abut when forming triangle points, and each is rust proofed and wrapped in insulating bandage. Each piece has identically spaced holes along its length so that the triangles can be connected to each other by bolting plates across adjacent members, the bolts passing through the plates and into the members.
