Abstract

The ventilator comprises a dome fixed to the deck of the boat, openings being provided in its base for air to enter. A central sleeve passes through the deck and a fan is fitted into the duct to assist the flow of air. Curved staggered baffles are provided between deck openings and sleeve, forming chambers equipped with mobile ball valves. Above these is an annular guide for a mobile disc, acting as a second valve and sealing against lips in the event of listing causing water to enter the ventilator.
