Abstract

The vacuum cleaner has a housing (1) which can accommodate a dust bag, and a cover (5) provided with a connection for the suction line. At the location of the housing aperture is a hingeable valve (8, 9) which, in the closed position, reduces the housing opening to a small slit through which a folded empty dust bag (3a, 3b) can be inserted. The sealing short edge parts of the dust bag locate against a cover pressure edge which has holes which give access to the space between the bag and the housing.
