Abstract

Appts for communications where facsimile signal frequency is bandwidth compressed, has simplified construction. Input is applied to video signal edge separator (1) connected with rows of cascaded triggers (3) in ring counter (2), outputs of which also collect in analog adder (4) for transmission through filter (5) to receiving amplifier through line. Rows of limiters then pass signals from receiving amplifier, through pairs of inverters and logic gates, in multiplier circuit, output of which feeds through adder to line. Resultant signal acts on edge separator (1), which forms leading and trailing edges of short pulse. Ring counter (2) composed of n=m+1 triggers (3), where m = level number of output signal.
