a. Appareil et procédé d'électrolyse d'une solution aqueuse de chlorure de métal alcalin utilisant une membrane échangeuse de cations. b. L'appareil est conçu pour qu'une interface gaz-liquide, au niveau de laquelle l'halogène gazeux est séparé, soit maintenue supérieure à la surface totale en section transversale des chambres anodiques de base opposées aux cathodes, cette interface étant en outre disposée plus haut que l'extrémité supérieure de la membrane échangeuse de cations. c. Application : production d'halogène gazeux.
