Abstract

Procédé pour traiter des masses d'acier en fusion pendant la coulée. A l'acier liquide en fusion, après sa sortie de la poche de coulée, à un instant auquel l'acier possède déjà une température relativement proche du point de solidification, on ajoute de façon continue un alliage de calcium et de silicium dans une proportion de 0,3 à 3 kg par tonne d'acier, sous la forme de grains fins ou de morceaux, avec une énergie cinétique suffisamment importante pour que cet alliage pénètre dans le jet de coulée. Application notamment à la coulée continue d'acier.
