Abstract

The maize cob driver is basically powered by solar heaters (1) in a closed loop hydraulic circuit (2). The water circulator is maintained by a pump (3) and is contained within a base heating conduit through which air passes, the conduit having vertical stacks (6) at regular intervals. The solar heaters can be supplemented by electrical resistance elements (4) in the conduit if thermostats indicate that heating is inadequate.
