Abstract

Procédé et appareil pour le séchage uniforme d'une nappe continue de matières fibreuses humides. La nappe 6 continue humide est séchée par passage à travers une section de pressage 7, puis à travers une section de séchage 8. La teneur en humidité de la nappe est contrôlée à l'aide de moyens 75 de contrôle disposés dans le sens transversal de la nappe, à l'extrémité sèche 76 de son parcours, lesdits moyens 75 détectant les bandes sèches dans lesquelles la teneur en humidité est inférieure à un niveau désiré. Des moyens 78 commandés par les moyens de contrôle 75 sont placés à l'extrémité humide du parcours de la nappe 6 pour ajouter de l'humidité à des zones choisies de la nappe pour corriger la teneur en humidité des bandes sèches détectées par les moyens de contrôle 75. Application au séchage de nappes continues de fibres cellulosiques pour la fabrication de produits papetiers tels que le papier ou le carton.
