Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé pour préparer du diméthylformamide. On prépare du diméthylformamide par réaction de la monométhylamine et de la triméthylamine, associées éventuellement à la diméthylamine, avec du monoxyde de carbone, en présence de fer métallique ou d'un composé de fer tel qu'un oxyde, hydroxyde, sulfure, sel d'acide minéral, sel d'acide organique ou carbonyle de fer. L'invention permet en particulier d'obtenir le diméthylformamide avec un rendement élevé et une bonne sélectivité.
