Abstract

L'invention concerne un transducteur acousto-optique. Dans ce transducteur comportant trois fibres optiques 17, 18, 19, ces dernières sont disposées les unes à la suite des autres à une faible distance et sont accouplées entre elles optiquement, la fibre d'entrée 18 alimentée par un flux lumineux d'intensité constante, la fibre formant transducteur médiane 17 est reliée à une membrane 5 oscillant transversalement à l'axe de la fibre de sorte que, lors de l'action d'un son, il se produit une variation de la surface de couplage entre la fibre 17 et la fibre d'entrée ou de sortie 18, 19, la fibre 19 délivrant un flux lumineux à intensité modulée. Application notamment aux systèmes de communications optiques.
