Abstract
The lifting beam is mounted on a vertical column (1) fixed to a base (2). The column supports a cantilever arm and the height of the arm may be adjusted by means of a cable (6) and pulley (21) arrangement located inside the column (1). The lifting beam consists of two sections. The inner section (13) is hinged at the inner support pivot (6) and the outer beam (5) is hinged at the central pivot (14). The hinges may be locked by the fixing device (17). The handling claw (9) is fixed to the end of the outer beam.
