Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de réduction de tubes. Le procédé de réduction est effectué sur un mandrin fixe au moyen de cylindres cannelés montés de manière à pouvoir tourner dans une cage à va-et-vient et qui libèrent le tube au moins avant que le point mort de sortie ne soit atteint, c'est-à-dire avant la fin de la course d'aller qui va de l'extrémité la plus épaisse à l'extrémité la plus mince du mandrin, le tube etant poussé en avant et mis en rotation pendant cette libération qui est disponible comme temps de manoeuvre, les cylindres cannelés subissant une rotation de plus de 330 degrés pendant la course d'aller comme pendant la course de retour. Au voisinage du point mort d'entrée, les cylindres cannelés libèrent le tube pendant un temps notablement plus court que le temps de manoeuvre. Application à la réduction du diamètre des tubes.
