Abstract

The system for demisting and de-icing the windscreen of a car uses a current of hot air directed at the glass interior by a jet from the base. The jet is divided internally into two pipes with divergent outlets. The outlets are directed so that the points of impact of the air jets is at about the angle of sight of the occupants. Each pipe is controlled by a mixing flap which pivots between the pipe entries and which has three positions.
