Abstract

The vehicle deicing and ventilation system has hot and cold air ducts discharging into a distributor box with hot and cold chambers. The partition between them has a rotary diffuser through it with deflector blades at the top, inside a cage through the partition. This cage has two openings for the chambers and the diffuser has an opening which is brought into alignment with one of the openings to distribute hot or cold air. The cage has a large and a small curved lip between the openings. The diffuser is shaped as an open ring whose curved length is greater than the small lip, but shorter than the large lip. The partition can have two cages with rotary diffusers which direct hot air towards the windscreen and cold air towards an upper part of the vehicle interior.
