Abstract

The production method is for boxes fitted with lids, where in the first stage each base (1) and its corresponding lid (2) are cut out from a mainly rectangular sheet of carton. During a second stage, each base (1) and the corresponding lid (2) conveyed to a station to put the box together and in a third stage the placing together of the two sections of the box is carried out. During the first phase of cutting out base and lid the two sections remain connected along a separating line (3) which is cut during the third stage. The boxes are also fitted with fold over side flaps.
