Abstract
The wall or roof has external insulation and ducts for heat exchanging air movements over the insulation. The construction includes rigid structural beams (6), a rigid insulation layer (4), the ducts (3, 8) and an external waterproof cladding (2). The ducts traverse a plane exposed face of the insulation. The ducts are formed by locating corrugated sheeting between the insulation (4) and the cladding (2). The undulations are rectangular, trapezoidal or sinusoidal. Alternatively a longitudinally honeycombed slab forms the ducts, or the cladding is mounted on a plain board supported by stools or battens. The corrugated sheet is of cardboard, asbestos, metal, or plastics.
