Abstract

The extendable folding bed (A) has a framework in at least three parts hinged together and folded back onto each other when not in use. The two outer parts (A1, A3) form the feet, whilst the middle part (A2) is of adjustable length and can take a mattress canvas if required. The middle part (A2) is hinged in the middle so that the two parts fold on top of one another and form a rigid horizontal frame when folded out. At least one of the hinged parts of the middle part is extendable. The feet have stabilisers in the form of a T-shaped tubular section. A strap is sewn underneath the canvas round the sides of the middle part.
