Abstract

1443664 Seats and beds convertible to bags; sleeping bags; backpack frames L R BARRACLOUGH 2 April 1974 [9 April 1973 30 May 1973] 14621/74 Headings A4G, A4H and A4J [Also in Division El ] A combined bed, chair and back-pack comprises a substantially rectangular-shaped rigid frame 11 hinged at 12 so as to fold into a back-pack frame and having hingedly mounted legs 13 and backstraps 22. In one form Fig. 2, a sheet 15 forms both an upper and lower cover for the bed, the sheet 15 being folded at 16 and having a zipper at 17. In another form Fig. 8 (not shown), the lower cover has side flaps which may be folded over towards each other and secured, e.g. using eyelets, to form the upper cover. To form a lounge chair Fig. 7, a hole is made in hinge 12A and a strap 34 is hooked into the hole and attached at its other end to straps 21a to elevate the foot end of the bed. [GB1443664A]
