Abstract
The control is for railway brakes fitted side by side. It has a rigid connector piece and the brakes are suspended from the underframe. There are two horizontal connectors on the vehicle longitudinal axis. Each connector (1, 2) has, between them, rigid joints (13, 14) and two vertical shafts (17, 18 & 19, 20) pivoting the two arms (21, 22 & 23, 24) of horizontal cranks. These are two brakes (7, 9 & 8, 10) at the ends of the rigid joints and the arms go through another joint (25) forming part of the brake rodding. It is fitted on the central axle of an articulated vehicle.
