Abstract

Résonateur piézo-électrique. Le résonateur selon l'invention comporte au moins un cristal de quartz en forme de plaque mince rectangulaire dont la longueur I est orientée selon un axe X', la largeur w selon un axe Y' et l'épaisseur t selon un axe Z', et qui vibre selon un mode de contour. L'axe Z' est situé dans le plan des axes électrique X et optique Z du cristal et forme avec l'axe Z un angle phiv tel que : 16 degrés < phiv < 36 degrés et l'axe Y' forme avec l'axe mécanique Y du cristal un angle theta tel que : 10 degrés < theta < 30 degrés Ce résonateur présente un coefficient thermique de premier ordre nul et ne dépendant pas de façon critique du rapport dimensionnel entre les côtés w et I de la plaque; les coefficients thermiques d'ordres supérieurs sont très faibles. Le couplage piézo-électrique est tel que le mode d'oscillation optimisé est pratiquement seul excité.
